Room and bathroom.Toilet seat loose and much evidence of mold in the bathroom. Bed very noisey. Bedside light needed repair and was not safe! Qute a lot of noise from the room above (AT 1.30 in the mo

Unfortunately the noise from the room above is beyond our control but we do normally have very considerate guests staying in this peaceful and quiet location. The standard of Sarah's room is reflected in the price, being the cheapest room on offer and situated in a "quirky" annexe which some guests enjoy....however we hope that you will return to enjoy the food and ambience and possibly upgrade?

Charming hotel, friendly, ever helpful staff, good food. Not to mention the beauty, peace and quiet of the surroundings.
Dislikes:
Room slightly chilly (it was a cold spell) but plenty of extra blankets avaialable.

Quirky layout of building, nice room, really friendly staff, great food (breakfast and dinner), helpful local advice, brilliant location.
Dislikes:
You can hear the central heating boiler in room 17, but it stops at 11pm and wasn't really a problem.

Couldn't have been better. We heard about the West Arms via a Giles Coren food review but weren't quite sure what to expect. It was really great - a real hidden gem. We will definitely return.

The decanter and sherry glasses in the room is a very civilised touch. Bar meal was lovely and service and ambience maintained. Only suggestions are: shower in sarah's room is a touch problematic as you need to detach the head to stop spraying the room and my poached egg was under done - this could be personal choice!
