The fact that the pub/hotel was pet friendly and we could eat in the bar with our dog present. The meals in the evening were very good; a spacious room and lovely soft towels and very comfy bed.

The hotel was very quiet while I was there (mid-week) which made it all the more relaxing. It also meant that my room was upgraded; I could hardly believe that the beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed room overlooking the garden cost me the same as an anonymous shoebox in Cardiff (and much less than a shoebox in London). Work by local artists on the walls rather than cheap prints; and so restful. Excellent, friendly, staff (and indeed fellow guests). Read less

"Authentic Welsh charm with perfect ambience, amazing food and the friendliest staff imaginable."
Stayed at the West Arms for 3 nights with my family and parents and had a wonderful country experience. The location is beautiful Welsh countryside and the Inn building is oozing coziness. After a remarkable gourmet dinner by the roaring fire we were all as relaxed as we could remember on our long vacation. The owner, chef and entire team made us feel as if we were part of their family.
I would not hesitate to stay at the West Arms again when I return to Wales and recommend it to all travelers. Read less

Only moderate facilities in the room. Mis-match between our Booking (Twin Beds) with Enviivo and what Enviivo confirmed to the Hotel (Double Bed) - we witnessed ourselves the confirmation from you!

However we are not sure what you mean by moderate as you had a shower with shower gel and soap, bath, coffee and tea facilities with cafetiere, biscuits, TV, hairdrier, super king size bed and a wonderful view of The Berwyns. Due to the age of The West Arms and it being a listed building fortunately it is impossible to change the structure of the character rooms therefore retaining the charm of years gone by.
