The West Arms

A spacious suite with super king-size bed, en suite bathroom with free standing bath and handshower, (not full size shower) large private lounge with massage chair, leather three piece suite and views of the village. The suite is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, torch and alarm clock. The bedroom is beamed and retains its original character, being in the oldest part of the hotel.

An unusual suite with a double bedroom situated upstairs in this three floor room, with private quirky bathroom (slim bath and hand shower), half way up the stairs and a large lounge downstairs with two sofas, ideal for small children (not adults) whom parents want to be close by but sleep in a separate area . We have folding beds which would accommodate children to sleep in the lounge. The room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, torch, alarm clock and direct dial telephone and is adjacent to reception. This offers a character original bedroom with beams, in the 16th century part of the hotel - an interesting place to stay and delightfully cosy.

Minimum Price includes two adults with breakfast - but not for children. Based on the children being under 12, the maximum price includes £25 per child extra (for two), which includes breakfast.

A 16th century character bedroom with a genuine Antique Four Poster Bed, enjoying village views. The room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, hairdryer, torch, alarm clock and direct dial telephone. The price is inclusive of breakfast. This room was named after a former proprietor, Mr John Howard, who owned the hotel during the 19th century. It is a beautiful traditional room with beams, a king size bed, comfortable sofa and quirky en suite bathroom equipped with a full sized bath and overhead shower. The Howard Room is accessed from stairs via the main reception.

A Super King-size bed (The Middleton) and Twin beds (The Eagles) - both with small quirky en suite bathrooms (baths and hand showers) and village views. The rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, torch, alarm clock and direct dial telephone. The price is inclusive of breakfast. These rooms are located in the 16th century part of the hotel accessed by stairs from the main reception. Both of these rooms are named after relevant periods of years gone by....Middleton Room is named after the Middleton Family who have owned Chirk Castle for centuries and at one time were the owners of The West Arms. The other character room, The Eagles, bears the former name of The West Arms. Both rooms are comfortably furnished with lots of light, overlooking the village and have unique character.

The rooms are very light and airy and are positioned at the rear of the hotel which is generally very quiet. We have both standard and superior rooms which are more modern but do not have the character than the rooms in the oldest part of the hotel but still offer all the same facilities and comfort. The price is inclusive of full breakfast.

The Standard rooms although more modern than the Character rooms, still retain a unique quirkiness in some, and a few enjoy beautiful views of the Berwyn Hills. No two rooms are the same which adds a quaint charm to the hotel. Some of the Standard rooms are on the ground floor enabling easy access for a wheelchair or for those with difficulty in managing stairs. All are comfortable, en suite with some having separate shower cubicles. All prices include full breakfast.

A more basic double room (reflected in the price) offering a double bed in the annexe, which has its own access from outside the main hotel. This has en suite bath and overhead shower, tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, hairdryer, torch, alarm clock. The price includes full breakfast.

A small twin bedded rather pretty room, above the kitchen, with en suite bath and overhead shower, tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, hairdryer, torch, alarm clock and direct dial telephone, but no view. The price is inclusive of full breakfast.
We have also have an upgraded larger twin room available in the Character rooms, (The Eagles), with a view of the village.

Holiday Cottage with private enclosed garden.

Recently refurbished with modern bathrooms and kitchen. Central heating, electric log burner in the lounge. Two lounges, one with superb views of the Berwyns. One level with only a couple of steps down into the kitchen. Next door to Main hotel positioned in the center of the village. Very quiet only some occassional traffic noise.

Accommodation is available throughout the year, minimum stay of 3 nights.
