The West Arms Country Inn in Llanarmon DC has been selected as one of the key venues for the Three Castles Trial classic car event taking place in 2022.
Now in its 20th year, the Three Castles Trial is one of Britain’s most talked about summer car events. A Concours D’Elegance and Prologue precede a competitive three-day historic road rally covering 500 miles and based on regularity sections and enjoyable private land driving tests. Returning each night to Llandudno, the rally runs through the ancient landscapes of Anglesey, Gwynedd and Clwyd in North West Wales during the first week of summer.

The story of the West Arms itself dates back to 1570, when it was a farmhouse belonging to local gentry. Low ceilings, natural slate floors and roaring inglenook fires create the perfect ambience for the delicious food prepared by award winning chef Grant Williams.
Mark and Nicky Williamson, owners of the West Arms said: “Classic car enthusiasts have always been clients of The West Arms so it makes perfect sense to host this prestigious motoring event. North East Wales has some of the country’s most breathtaking drives so we can’t wait to see the valley come alive with the humming of these elegant motors.”
Three Castles Director, Ian Crammond, added: “We always try to partner with the very best venues North Wales has to offer, to give our guests a great experience of this fabulous area in places they will want to return to again and again. Adding The West Arms to that illustrious list allows us to offer our entrants another wonderful find.”
The Three Castles runs from 7 to 10 June 2022 and it is a moving pageant of sixty years of motoring history. The entry list for next June is already almost full, and of the 100 entries so far received, one car in six is more than 80 years old
After a delicious lunch at The West Arms, Three Castle participants will be able enjoy the maze of valleys around Llanarmon before weaving north again to reach Bodnant and the finish of the first day.
